The job and company review site Glassdoor has released its annual 100 Best Places to Work list for 2021. To compile the list, Glassdoor analyzed 70 million employee reviews across 1.3 million companies.

The organizations considered for the large businesses list required at least 1,000 employees with at least 75 ratings across all attributes. Attributes include rating things like management, career opportunities, compensation & benefits, work/life balance, and culture & values.

Management consulting Bain & Company was ranked as Glassdoor’s #1 of 2021. NVIDIA, HubSpot, Google, and Microsoft came out in the top 10 ranked 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 9th respectively. 

Over a quarter of the top 100 best places to work are tech companies followed by the retail industry. The 10 best tech companies are:

  1. NVIDIA – ranked at #2 with a 4.5 rating
  2. HubSpot – ranked at #4 with a 4.5 rating
  3. Google – ranked at #6 with a 4.5 rating
  4. Microsoft – ranked at #9 with a 4.5 rating
  5. Facebook – ranked at #11 with a 4.4 rating
  6. Linkedln – ranked at #13 with a 4.4 rating
  7. DocuSign – ranked at #15 with a 4.4 rating
  8. KnowBe4 – ranked at #16 with a 4.4 rating
  9. Salesforce – ranked at #17 with a 4.4 rating
  10. RingCentral  – ranked at #18 with a 4.4 rating

The report also includes a list for small businesses with fewer than 1,000 employees and at least 75 ratings. Glassdoor’s 10 best tech startups from the report are:

  1. Ike – ranked at #3 with a 4.9 rating
  2. Harness – ranked at #6 with a 4.9 rating
  3. Lendio – ranked at #8 with a 4.9 rating
  4. Jobot – ranked at #9 with a 4.9 rating
  5. Lower – ranked at #10 with a 4.9 rating
  6. Orchard – ranked at #16 with a 4.8 rating
  7. SimplrFlex – ranked at #17 with a 4.8 rating
  8. Flockjay – ranked at #21 with a 4.8 rating
  9. Wonolo – ranked at #24 with a 4.8 rating
  10. Thrasio – ranked at #27 with a 4.8 rating
